England announced the team for the Ashes Series, this star player entered for the first two Tests

England have announced their 16-man squad for the first two Test matches of the Ashes series against Australia. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) selection panel has not made any changes to the team selected for the one-off Test against Ireland. The Ashes series will begin on June 16 at Edgbaston.
Josh Tong, who made his debut against Ireland, was picked in the Ashes squad after playing just one Test. Josh Tongue took five wickets in the first innings at Lord’s. Tongue was included in the final XI when the squad against Ireland was selected. He was named as backup for injuries to James Anderson and Ollie Robinson. Coincidentally, he got a chance in this match as well.
England have named eight fast bowlers in their squad for the opening two Tests against Australia. Along with veterans James Anderson and Stuart Broad, Matthew Potts, Ollie Robinson, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood and Josh Tongue have been selected. Jack Leach is the only specialist spin bowler in the team. While Dan Lawrence has been selected as an additional batsman.
