ICC took a big decision regarding the India-Pakistan World Cup match

There are constant questions about whether the Pakistan cricket team will come to play in the ICC ODI World Cup to be held in India. The Indian team has decided not to go to Pakistan to play the Asia Cup and a controversy has arisen. After the BCCI’s statement, the former PCB chairman has threatened not to send the Indian team to the World Cup.

Former PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja

Pakistan will send a team to the ICC ODI World Cup to be held in India only when the Indian team goes to Pakistan to play the Asia Cup. Former PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja has stated this in several interviews. However, after his removal from the post, the matter has calmed down.

Najam Sethi

Najam Sethi told the PCB leadership that the Pakistan Cricket Board has not made any statement regarding the ICC tournament. This has been said for ACC i.e. Asian Cricket. Currently, the situation is such that now Pakistan has to come to India and participate in the World Cup.

ICC President Greg Barclay

ICC has taken a big decision before the World Cup to be held in India. ICC President Greg Barclay and CEO Geoff Allardyce visited Pakistan and discussed the matter themselves. Both have paid a special visit to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to discuss sending a team for the World Cup to be held in India. ICC officials have reached Lahore and sought assurance from PCB. When the ICC president himself reaches Pakistan and talks like this, there is no other way for Pakistan to participate in the tournament.

ODI World Cup

The ICC has made it clear that the PCB should send the Pakistan cricket team to India for the ODI World Cup later this year. The ICC has clarified that the PCB will not insist on implementing the hybrid model for matches in Pakistan.
