The International Cricket Council (ICC) recently announced the official schedule of the upcoming ODI World Cup to be held in India. Now there is news of some changes in the program of this mega event starting from 5th October. Regarding this, the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Jai Shah has given a big statement saying that 2-3 cricket boards have been told about the change in the schedule and it will be announced soon.
The Indian team is scheduled to play its first match in the upcoming ODI World Cup against Australia on October 8 at Chennai. Apart from this, the news of the change in the date of the match against Pakistan on October 15 is coming to light. According to BCCI Secretary Jai Shah’s statement to ANI regarding the schedule change, if the India-Pakistan match is rescheduled, more than one match may be rescheduled.
The India-Pakistan match to be held on October 15 is the first day of Navratri, in which case the security agencies have informed about the change in the date of this match. A decision will be taken after discussion soon.
Jay Shah from BCCI has made it clear in his statement that if the schedule of India-Pakistan match is changed, only the date will be changed and the venue will not be changed. According to reports, the new program will be announced by the ICC in the next 2 to 3 days.
