WTC Final: Ravindra Jadeja created history, made a big record in his name

Indian star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja created history by taking the third wicket in the final of the World Test Championship against Australia. In Australia’s second innings, Jadeja took the 267th wicket of his Test career by dismissing left-handed batsman Travis Head. This wicket of Travis Head was Jadeja’s third wicket in the WTC Final 2023 being played at The Oval. With this wicket, Jadeja became the highest wicket-taker for India in all three formats as a left-arm spinner.

Ravindra Jadeja was already the highest wicket-taker for India in ODIs and T20 Internationals as a left-arm spinner and now he has taken the record in Tests as well. In Tests as well, Jadeja has become the highest wicket-taker for India as a left-arm spinner. In Test cricket, he has surpassed former Indian legend left arm spinner Bishan Bedi.

By the final match of the World Test Championship, Jadeja has completed 267 wickets in his Test career. While former Indian left arm spinner Bishan Bedi took a total of 266 wickets for Team India in Tests. Jadeja has made this record in his name by leaving behind Bishan Bedi.

While in ODIs, Jadeja has long been India’s leading wicket-taker as a left-arm spinner. Jadeja has so far taken 191 wickets in 174 ODIs. Kuldeep Yadav is the highest wicket taker for India as a left arm spinner in One Day Internationals. Kuldeep has taken 134 wickets.

Apart from this, this record is also registered in the name of Jadeja in the T20 International. As a left-arm spinner, Jadeja has taken the most wickets for India in T-20 Internationals with 51. Left arm Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav is second in this list with 46 wickets.
