World Cup 2023 : Sri Lanka squad announced for World Cup, Dasun Shanaka to be captain
World Cup 2023 is going to be organized on Indian soil. The tournament is starting from October 5. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka has announced its team for the World Cup. Dasun Shanaka will captain the Sri Lankan team in the World Cup. While Kusal Mendis will be in the role of vice-captain. Injured all-rounder Vanindu Hasaranga has not got a place in this team.
Sri Lanka, led by Dasun Shanaka, will begin their World Cup campaign against South Africa. Sri Lanka and South Africa are scheduled to face each other on October 7. Whereas, the match between Sri Lanka and South Africa will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
