Chennai Super Kings have suffered the biggest blow before the start of IPL 2023. The team’s star all-rounder Ben Stokes will not bowl in the first few matches as he is not fully fit. Stokes has a left knee injury and is not bowling at the moment, but if his fitness improves, he may be seen bowling in later matches.
Ben Stokes was bought by Chennai Super Kings for 16.25 crores in the mini auction held in December last year. According to Michael Hussey, he has received a cortisone injection in his left knee ahead of the Ashes. Ben Stokes, 31, was not fully fit during England’s recent tour of New Zealand and after bowling two overs in the second Test in Wellington, he said, “I’m not lying, but it hurts when I don’t perform to my liking. ”
