Ben Stokes Will Not Bowl In First Few Matches Of IPL
Chennai Super Kings have suffered the biggest blow before the start of IPL 2023. The team’s star all-rounder Ben Stokes will not bowl in the first few matches as he is not fully fit. Stokes has a left knee injury and is not bowling at the moment, but if his fitness improves, he may be seen bowling in later matches.
Ben Stokes was bought by Chennai Super Kings for 16.25 crores in the mini auction held in December last year. According to Michael Hussey, he has received a cortisone injection in his left knee ahead of the Ashes. Ben Stokes, 31, was not fully fit during England’s recent tour of New Zealand and after bowling two overs in the second Test in Wellington, he said, “I’m not lying, but it hurts when I don’t perform to my liking. ”
England and Wales Cricket Board
The England and Wales Cricket Board’s medical staff are working closely with the Chennai Super Kings’ medical staff to manage Ben Stokes’ workload ahead of the five-Test Aces series between England and Australia starting in June.

Super Kings batting coach Hussey
Super Kings batting coach Hussey, who worked with the England team that won the T20 World Cup in November. He has said that his workload will be taken care of in IPL 2023 starting from Friday.
He said, “Chennai and ECB’s physios are working together. He is ready to play as a batsman right from the start. A decision regarding his bowling will be taken after some time. As far as I know, he bowled normally this week as he had an injection in his knee. I think, he won’t be able to bowl in a few matches or for a few weeks before the tournament. I’m not completely astute. But hopefully, we can go ahead in the tournament and get them to bowl.
