India can play Pakistan at a neutral venue during Asia Cup: PCB’s proposal

There is a continuous dispute between the Pakistan Cricket Board and the Board of Control for Cricket in India regarding the planning of Asia Cup 2023. While the Pakistan Board wants to host the Asia Cup in its own country, the Indian Board has clearly refused to send its team to Pakistan. Now there are news that the Asia Cup will be organized in Pakistan itself in which India’s matches may be organized in some other country.

This time the Asia Cup will be played in 50 over format keeping in mind the ODI World Cup. According to a report by ESPNcricinfo, Pakistan may host the event in their own country, while India’s match may be held in another country, Dubai or Oman. According to this news, BCCI and PCB have now reached an agreement that the match between India and Pakistan will be played outside Pakistan.

Although the venue for India’s matches is yet to be decided, UAE, Oman and Sri Lanka are among the names, with at least 5 matches to be held at one of these venues. The Asia Cup 2023 is scheduled to be held in the month of September followed by the ODI World Cup in India in the month of October-November.
