IPL 2023 : The 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is starting from 31 March. Before that Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has taken a big decision. He has decided to retire the jerseys of two legendary players AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle. AB De Villiers and Chris Gayle will be inducted into the Hall of Fame by RCB on March 26.

RCB tweeted, “The day we induct RCB veterans into the Hall of Fame, the same day jersey numbers 17 and 333 will be retired forever.” This will be done to honor AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle. Former South African captain AB de Villiers, who wore the number 17 jersey, scored 4491 runs in 156 matches for RCB from 2011-2021. He scored two centuries and 37 half-centuries during this period. In 2015, AB de Villiers played an inning of 133 not out.
