IPL 2023 : Royal Challengers Bangalore star batsman out of IPL, scored century last season

IPL 2023 : The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team has started with a win in the 16th season of IPL. They beat five-time champions Mumbai Indians in their first match. RCB’s next match is against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens on Thursday (April 6). Bad news has come for the team ahead of that match. Young batsman Rajat Patidar has been ruled out for the entire season.

There were earlier fears that Patidar might be out of the tournament. He has a leg injury. He is currently undergoing rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). Patidar had a blast last season. He scored 333 runs in seven innings of eight matches. Meanwhile, the average of silver was 55.50. Patidar scored at a strike rate of 152.75. He also scored a century.

RCB informed that Rajat Patidar is out. He tweeted, “Unfortunately Rajat Patidar has been ruled out of IPL 2023 due to an ankle injury. We wish Rajat a speedy recovery. The entire team stands with him. The coach and management have not yet taken any decision regarding Rajat’s replacement player.

Rajat Patidar has played 12 matches in IPL so far. During this time he has scored 404 runs at an average of 40.4 and a strike rate of 144.29. He has a century and two half-centuries to his credit. If we look at Rajat’s first class career, he has scored 3795 runs in 52 matches at an average of 45.72. During this time he scored 11 centuries and 22 half-centuries. Rajat has 1648 runs in 51 List A matches. He has scored three centuries and eight fifties.
