He is playing the last Test of his career. Broad and James Anderson have achieved a special achievement. He has made it to the special list associated with Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. Broad and Anderson have reached the second most number of Test matches played together.
James Anderson and Broad have played 138 Test matches together so far. Only Dravid and Sachin are ahead of him. Sachin and Dravid have played 146 Test matches. In this case, the pair of Jacques Kallis and Marc Boucher is at number three. These two have played 137 matches together. Dravid and Laxman have played 132 Test matches together. Anderson and Alastair Cook have played 130 Test matches together.
Notably, Broad has announced his retirement from international cricket. He has so far taken 602 wickets in 309 Test innings. During this time he has taken 20 wickets of five or more.
