The England and Wales Cricket Board has announced a 15-member squad for the third Test of the Ashes series. The Australian team has taken a 2-0 lead in the five-match series. Now the third Test match between England and Australia will be played from July 6 at Headings, Leeds.
Young leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed has not got a place in the third Test at Headingley. While spin all-rounder Moeen Ali has been included in the 15-member squad for the third Test.
England squad for 3rd Test – Ben Duckett, Jack Crowley, Dan Lawrence, Ollie Pope, Ben Stokes (captain), James Anderson, Jonny Bairstow (wicketkeeper), Stuart Broad, Harry Brook, Joe Root, Josh Tong, Ollie Robinson, Moeen Ali , Chris Woakes and Mark Wood.
Australia scored 416 runs in the first innings of the Lord’s Test. After this, the England team was all out for just 325 runs in their first innings. However, the England team came back in the second innings and restricted Australia to 279 runs. In this way, England got a target of 371 runs in the second innings.
