Wasim Jaffer selected India’s team for the World Cup 2023
Wasim Jaffer : World Cup 2023 will start from 5 October. This time the first match will be played between England and New Zealand in Ahmedabad. This India will host the tournament. For this, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has started preparations. Wasim Jaffer has selected the team for the World Cup. He has also included fast bowlers Jaspreet Bumrah and Shreyas Iyer in this Indian team. Both these players are running out of Team India for a long time due to injury.
Wasim Jaffer made Rohit Sharma the captain of his team. Only experienced players have been given a chance in this team. Wasim Jaffer has replaced Virat Kohli, Lokesh Rahul, Hardik Pandya. Along with this, Shikhar Dhawan has also been made a part of the team. Dhawan has been running outside Team India for some time now. However, Jaffer has expressed confidence in Dhawan. He has also included injured player KL Rahul in the team. BCCI recently gave an update regarding Rahul, Bumrah and Shreyas. These players have started practicing in the net.
Fast bowlers Mohammad Shami, Mohammad Siraj and Shardul Thakur are also included in his team. Spin bowlers Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel are also part of this team. Shubman Gill has performed very well. Jaffer Gill has also been given a place in the team.
Let us tell you that India’s first match in World Cup 2023 is against Australia. This match will be played in Chennai on 8 October. The match between India and Pakistan will be played on October 15 in Ahmedabad. The final match of the tournament will be held in Ahmedabad on 19 November.
