ICC has taken a big decision before the World Cup to be held in India. ICC President Greg Barclay and CEO Geoff Allardyce visited Pakistan and discussed the matter themselves. Both have paid a special visit to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to discuss sending a team for the World Cup to be held in India. ICC officials have reached Lahore and sought assurance from PCB. When the ICC president himself reaches Pakistan and talks like this, there is no other way for Pakistan to participate in the tournament.
ODI World Cup
The ICC has made it clear that the PCB should send the Pakistan cricket team to India for the ODI World Cup later this year. The ICC has clarified that the PCB will not insist on implementing the hybrid model for matches in Pakistan.
